MACADAMIA HUMMUS (LEGUME FREE, GRAIN FREE, GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE, PALEO, VEGAN, RAW)
This is a protein rich, wholesome side dish that can be enjoyed with some paleo crackers, bread or vegetable chips.
-1 cup of macadamia nuts soaked in water for at least six hours
-5 tablespoons tahini
-2 tablespoons hempseeds
-1/2 cup water
-The juice of 1 lemon
-4 tablespoons cumin
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-Sea salt and pepper to taste
-Drain macadamia nuts and place in processor along with the tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt and pepper. Add water and pulse until mixture turns creamy, taking breaks between pulses.
-Keep pulsing until you arrive at a creamy-like texture of traditional hummus.
-Mix in the hempseeds.
-Recipe feeds 2-3 people.
