Good morning weekend smoothie: Green Lemonade.
1 medium cucumber
4 cups spinach
1 large apple
1/2 lemon peeled and seeded
Blend them in that order adding a cup of water along the way or use a juicer.
It is refreshing and balanced with a tangy finish. Lemon juice brightens the sweet, mineral taste of the spinach and adds Vitamin C, which makes all the iron more absorbable.
